After Headstock’s original mural of Joy Division’s Ian Curtis was inadvertently painted over, we needed to find a new, long-term home for the artwork. Fast forward 12 months and we teamed up with Akse once again to reinstate the mural in time for World Suicide Prevention Day 2024.
The new mural can be found on the side of the Grade II listed Star & Garter – a legendary pub and live music venue located a stone’s throw from Manchester Piccadilly station. As with all of Headstock’s murals, the artwork carries Shout’s logo and mental health text support number.
